Known as "city of Faith and Knowledge", capital of culture and important religious center. Visit medina Bali (largest medieval site in world, UNESCO World Heritage), souks, alleys, Royal Palace, Jewish quarter. Dinner and accommodation at Hotel.
Morning start to south. Wonders include: Ifrane (Moroccan Switzerland), Cedar of Azrou forest with curious inhabitants, Azrou volcanic region, magnificent rocky Ziz river valley and immense palm grove. Continue to Merzouga. Accommodation riad/hotel.
After breakfast, visit surroundings of Merzouga and Erg Chebbi great dune. Visit towns like Khamlia (descendants of sub-Saharan slaves maintaining traditions through Gnawa spiritual music). See Berber villages and traditions. Dromedaries lead to desert camp for dinner, traditional Berber music, sleep in luxury tents with private bathroom. Accommodation in desert camp.
After breakfast, dromedaries take to SUV to continue route. Stop in Rissani to visit local market supplying 600+ desert towns. Continue to Tinerghir to visit beautiful geological section of Middle Atlas, then beautiful Dades valley. Accommodation and dinner at hotel/riad.
